John B. Lampi

It is truly uncommon for this region to have such a qualified, experienced and credentialed attorney as John B. Lampi. His highly successful legal career has positioned him across the state as a prominent banking and securities regulation, insurance and general business, and corporate law attorney. He has represented a variety of financial institutions, including commercial banks, thrifts, bank and thrift holding companies, and insurance companies. He has also represented telecommunications companies in the purchase of Internet Service Providers (ISPs).

Mr. Lampi’s experience includes organizing new banks and stock insurance companies, mergers, acquisitions, conversion of mutual to stock form, formation of mutual holding companies, and integration of banks and insurance companies. In addition, he has advised boards of directors and special investigation committees concerning matters ranging from breaches of fiduciary duties, protection against unfriendly attempts of takeover, and positioning the company for sale.

An adjunct professor at Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University for 10 years, Mr. Lampi is fluent in German and can speak both Finnish and Italian.

John resides in Carlisle with his wife. They have two grown children.
