Fausto Sanchez Speaks to UM Hispanic Law Students about Diversity in Law

On February 26, 2021, SFL partner Fausto Sanchez participated in a virtual panel discussion titled Identidad: What it Means to be Hispanic in the Legal Field.  The event was hosted by the University of Miami’s Hispanic Law Students Association and was well attended, with more than 50 participants, including UM law students, administration, and faculty.  The discussion focused on the experiences that four Hispanic lawyers, including Sanchez, have encountered throughout their careers.  The diverse group of impressive panelists provided unique insights from varying perspectives, and offered advice to the law students getting ready to embark on their own careers as Hispanic lawyers.

A mere 5% of lawyers in the United States are Hispanic.  As a firm with many clients in Latin America and Europe, SFL recognizes the enormous value that bilingual and multicultural attorneys offer any practice group.  As a minority owned business with more than 50% of its lawyers identifying as minorities, SFL is committed to enhancing the nationwide profile of Hispanic and minority attorneys.
