Partners Fausto Sanchez and David Levine are currently serving as Vice-Chair and Co-Chair of the American Bar Association’s International Ethics Committee, and served as a panelist and moderator, respectively, at the Section of International Law’s Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., today. The panel was titled: Digital Currency – The Ethical Considerations of Accepting Cryptocurrency as Payment for Legal Services. Their presentation addressed considerations related to OFAC sanctions, money transmitter licensing, anti-money laundering concerns, and specific issues with certain cryptocurrencies, such as Venezuela’s Petromoneda.
