Sanchez Fischer Levine, LLP

SFL Attorneys Successful in Obtaining § 1782 Order

We are a firm of litigators.

SFL attorneys David M. Levine and Antonia Iragorri recently obtained an Order from the Southern District of New York granting their client’s ex parte application for discovery pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1782. This Section 1782 proceeding, as it is commonly referred to, affords foreign litigants the right to obtain discovery in United States federal courts for use in their foreign proceedings. Here, SFL seeks to obtain discovery from financial institutions in New York on behalf of a foreign client with litigation pending in Argentina.

SFL’s Complex Commercial Litigation and International Dispute Resolution Team handles a wide variety of complex commercial litigation matters in the United States for businesses and individuals located throughout the world.  For more information about SFL and its attorneys, please visit www.sfl-law.com and follow us on social media.  #SFLCaseAlerts
